How do I find my consultation URL?

You can find the consultation URL:

  • Method 1 - on Consultation Dashboard of the consultation
  • Method 2 - in 'Edit Consultation Details'

Method 1 - on Consultation Dashboard of the consultation

Method 2 - in 'Edit Consultation Details'

Using the URL bar

You can also find the URL in the location bar (also known as a URL bar) on your browser. Keep in mind that depending on which page you are on in the consultation, i.e. on the Consultation Dashboard, you may have additional bits (or 'paths') added to the end of the URL such as '/consult_view'. Additional paths are the different locations on the internet of the consultation.

To promote your URL be sure to take the components which will lead respondents to the Overview page - if in doubt copy the URL from one of the two places suggested above.

What formats can the URL be published in?

Make sure the consultation URL you publish on other websites or print in brochures reflects what is identified on your Consultation Dashboard or in Edit Consultation Details.

If you are shortening your link double check it is correct.

And test, test, test the URL that you are going to promote - making sure it is correct before promoting will save you a lot of headache in the long run!
