It is dependent on your organisation's publishing settings as to whether or not you have access to publish a consultation. If in doubt please check with your Site Admin team.
If you do have publishing rights, publishing a consultation on Citizen Space is nice and easy. All you need to do is click on the green 'Publish' button on the right hand side of the screen on the Consultation dashboard.
In order for the publish button to be clickable, you will need to have built your consultation and filled in all the required information.
You can publish your consultation before the start date. This will enable the Overview page to be accessed by respondents, however they will not be able to access the actual consultation until the start date. Consultations published before their start dates are referred to as being in a 'Forthcoming' state. You can read more about the different states of a consultation here.
When you publish your consultation, it will go live at 00:00 on the start date. For example, if the start date is the 1st April and you click publish on the 31st March, the consultation will be in the forthcoming state until just a hair past midnight. As soon as the 1st April hits, the consultation will open.
If the start date is set for the 1st April and you click publish on the 1st April at say 10:00, the consultation will be open immediately.
Currently, Citizen Space does not have functionality for setting specific open and close times.
